What is Diurin-40 (Furosemide) used for?

Diurin-40 (Furosemide) is a type of water pill (diuretic) used to reduce unnecessary fluid in the body occurring as a result of heart failure, liver disease and kidney diseases such as nephrotic syndrome. By doing this, it can reduce inflammation in the limbs and abdomen. Other uses include treating high blood pressure, hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood) and other conditions.

How should I use Diurin-40 (Furosemide)?

Patients taking Diurin-40 (Furosemide) should avoid taking it for up to 4 hours before bedtime, otherwise they may need to get up during the night to urinate. This drug is usually taken once daily in the morning, or twice per day in the morning and afternoon. Your physician will inform you how often you need to take it and how much you need to take.

What are the side effects of Diurin-40 (Furosemide)?

Patients who have been prescribed Diurin-40 (Furosemide) may experience side effects, including:
