What is Doverin (Drotaverine Hydrochloride) used for?

Doverin (Drotaverine Hydrochloride) is a type of antispasmodic drug. It is widely used to treat renal colic (abdominal pain caused by kidney stones). There is also widespread belief that it is useful in helping to accelerate labor. Other uses for this drug include using it together with rimantadine as a treatment for influenza, or for the relief of pain during an endometrial or hysteroscopy biopsy.

How should I use Doverin (Drotaverine Hydrochloride)?

Doverin (Drotaverine Hydrochloride) tablets should be taken exactly as prescribed. Adult patients are sometimes told to take 30mg to 80mg, and they may be told to take it 1 to 3 times per day.
