What is Linid (Linezolid) used for?

Linid (Linezolid) is given as a treatment for bacterial infections, such as skin infections and pneumonia, and also for bacterial infections that are resistant to other antibiotics. This medication works by preventing the bacteria from growing. However, it will not treat viral infections.

How should I use Linid (Linezolid)?

Linid (Linezolid) tablets are taken by mouth, with food or on an empty stomach. Adult patients are usually told to take it twice per day, every 12 hours. The length of time for which treatment is required may vary, depending on the condition being treated. Adults may need to take it for 10 to 28 days.
