What is Mobic (Meloxicam) used for?

Mobic (Meloxicam) is used to treat arthritis symptoms, such as swelling, pain and stiffness. It can treat various types of arthritis, such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. This drug is a type of NSAID (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) which treats these symptoms by preventing the body from producing the substance that causes fever, swelling and pain.

How should I use Mobic (Meloxicam)?

Mobic (Meloxicam) tablets should be swallowed whole. Patients are normally told to take it once per day. It may be taken with food or without food. You should take this medication exactly as prescribed by your physician, and never take more than the prescribed dose.

What are the side effects of Mobic (Meloxicam)?
