What is Neo Naclex (Bendrofluazide) used for?

Neo Naclex (Bendrofluazide) is a water pill, or thiazide diuretic that is commonly given to patients to treat hypertension, heart failure, edema and urinary tract disorders. This drug works by causing the kidneys to get rid of unneeded sodium and water by passing it out in urine, and also by preventing sodium from being absorbed in the distal convoluted tubule.

How should I use Neo Naclex (Bendrofluazide)?

The usual dose for Neo Naclex (Bendrofluazide) is 5mg to 10mg, normally taken 1 to 3 times per week. If you are taking this drug to treat hypertension, the dosage may be 2.5mg taken once per day. However, you should first consult your physician to determine the required dose. Patients are usually directed to take this drug in the morning so that their sleep is not disturbed. If you forget to take it, you should take it as soon as possible. However, if it is later than 6pm, you should skip the dose and take it the next day as normal. Never take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

  • Changes in the level of potassium or sodium
  • High blood sugar levels
  • Gout
  • Restlessness
  • Impotence
