What is Telma (Telmisartan) used for?

Telma (Telmisartan) is sometimes used on its own, and sometimes used together with other medications to treat high blood pressure, especially in those patients considered to be at a higher risk of cardiovascular disease. This drug is a type of angiotensin II receptor antagonist, which works by helping to prevent the tightening of the blood vessels, thereby helping the blood to flow more smoothly. Other conditions this drug is used to treat include congestive heart failure and diabetic nephropathy.

How should I use Telma (Telmisartan)?

Patients who have been prescribed Telma (Telmisartan) tablets are often directed to take one tablet per day. However, depending on the condition being treated, the amount may vary.
