What is Zipsydon (Ziprasidone) used for?

Zipsydon (Ziprasidone) is an antipsychotic drug that is used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia, such as disturbed thoughts, a lack of interest in life or unusual emotions. It can also treat mania or bipolar disorder. This drug is in a class of medications called atypical antipsychotics, which work by altering the activity of neurotransmitters in the brain.

How should I use Zipsydon (Ziprasidone)?

Zipsydon (Ziprasidone) capsules should be taken by mouth, with food. Patients are usually directed to take this medication twice per day. When this medication is being prescribed to you, your physician may start you out on a low dose, which may then be gradually increased. If this medication has been prescribed to you, you should continue taking this drug, even if your symptoms improve, unless directed otherwise by your physician.

What are the side effects of Zipsydon (Ziprasidone)?

Patients should note that Zipsydon (Ziprasidone) may cause side effects, such as:
