What is Apo-Moclobemide (Moclobemide) used for?

Apo-Moclobemide (Moclobemide) is an antidepressant. It is a type of drug known as a reversible inhibitor of monoamine oxidase type A (RIMA). It is proven to alleviate the symptoms of depression by increasing the amount of monoamines in the brain, which in turn helps to alter the imbalance of chemicals believed to cause depression. This drug is also used to treat the symptoms of social phobia.

How should I use Apo-Moclobemide (Moclobemide)?

Apo-Moclobemide (Moclobemide) tablets should be taken orally. Patient are sometimes prescribed 300mg per day, however the dosage varies depending on the condition being treated.
