What is Daxas (Roflumilast) used for?

Daxas (Roflumilast) is used to help prevent and control symptoms such as wheezing and breathlessness, caused by bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other lung diseases. It is sometimes used together with other medications to treat COPD. This drug works by relieving irritation and inflammation of the airways, which helps to control breathing problems.

How should I use Daxas (Roflumilast)?

Daxas (Roflumilast) tablets are taken orally, and may be taken with or without food. Patients are sometimes directed to take one tablet per day, or as prescribed by their physician. Patients should always consult their physician before taking this medication. It is important to note that this medication is not to be used to treat sudden breathing problems. Your physician will advise you on what to do should this occur.

What are the side effects of Daxas (Roflumilast)?

Daxas (Roflumilast) may cause some side effects to occur, such as:

  • Nausea or decreased appetite
  • Loss of weight
  • Stomach pain
