What is Enidazol 1000 (Tinidazole) used for?

Enidazol 1000 (Tinidazole) is used to treat a variety of infections. It is given as a treatment for a sexually transmitted infection known as trichomoniasia, and intestinal infections such as giardiasia and amebiasis. This drug is a type of drug known as a nitroimidazole, which stops the growth of bacteria and protozoa that cause these infections. It will only treat protozoal and bacterial infections.

How should I use Enidazol 1000 (Tinidazole)?

Enidazol 1000 (Tinidazole) tablets should be taken orally. You should take these tablets with food in order to avoid a stomach upset. These tablets are normally taken as a single dose, once per day for 3 to 5 days. Some patients will need to take more than 1 tablet per day. Follow the instructions provided to you by your physician. You should continue taking this drug until the prescribed amount has been taken.
