Adult patients are sometimes told to take this medication once per day, at bedtime. However, other patients may be told to take it 2 to 4 times per day, depending on the dosage prescribed by the physician. If you are using it to treat or prevent indigestion, you may be told to take it 15 to 60 minutes prior to eating food that causes indigestion. However, do not use it for more than 2 weeks to treat indigestion.
