What is Gatiquin 400 (Gatifloxacin) used for?

Gatiquin 400 (Gatifloxacin) is a type of fluoroquinolone antibiotic, which is used to treat bacterial infections. It is prescribed as a treatment for bacterial infections of the skin, lungs, urinary tract and sinuses. It may also be used to treat some sexually transmitted diseases. Patients who have been exposed to anthrax may be given this medication.

How should I use Gatiquin 400 (Gatifloxacin)?

Gatiquin 400 (Gatifloxacin) comes in the form of tablets, which should be taken orally. The dosage required depends on the condition being treated. The dosage for anthrax prophylaxis is normally 400mg per day, for a period of 60 days. Pneumonia is normally treated with 400mg per day for 1 to 2 weeks, and patients with urinary tract infections are normally given 400mg per day, for 7 to 10 days.
