What is Isotrex Gel (Isotretinoin) used for?

Isotrex Gel (Isotretinoin) is used to treat mild to moderate acne. The active ingredient in this gel is a type of medication known as a retinoid (a vitamin A derivative). It also helps with the natural exfoliation of the skin.

Isotrex Gel (Isotretinoin) should be applied directly to the skin. Follow the instructions of your physician. You may need to use this gel for 6 to 8 weeks for the full positive effects to be noticed. Continue using it unless told otherwise by your physician.

  • Irritation of the skin
