What is Itoprid (Itopride) used for?

Itoprid (Itopride) is a prokinetic agent (a drug which increases gastrointestinal motility) which is used to treat functional dyspepsia and other gastrointestinal conditions, such as chronic indigestion and gastro-esophageal reflux disease. It is also used to treat regurgitation, anorexia and other various conditions. This drug helps to speed up the digestion process, thereby allowing food to pass through the system quicker, while also decreasing the buildup of stomach acid. It does this by inhibiting the chemicals responsible for slowing down the digestive process.
