What is Tilstigmin (Neostigmin) used for?

Tilstigmin 15 (Neostigmin) is prescribed for the treatment of conditions causing extreme or chronic weakness in the muscles (such as Myasthenia gravis). This works by preventing the breakdown of chemicals in the body which are essential for normal muscle function. This improves muscle function and allows more natural movement of the body.

How should I use Tilstigmin (Neostigmin)?

Tilstigmin 15 (Neostigmin) should be taken orally with a full glass of water, with or without food. Dosage depends on age and the severity of symptoms. For adults, a typical dosage is 15mg taken 2 to 3 times a day. This may be increased by your physician if your response is unsatisfactory or your symptoms are worsen.
