What is Gabapin (Gabapentin) used for?

Gabapin (Gabapentin) is a type of anticonvulsant, which is given to people who have epilepsy to control and prevent seizures. It helps to treat and prevent seizures by reducing abnormal brain activity. Other conditions this drug is used to treat include postherpetic neuralgia, diabetic neuropathy and restless leg syndrome.

How should I use Gabapin (Gabapentin)?

Gabapin (Gabapentin) capsules are normally taken 3 times per day, with a glass of water. You should take this medication at the same time every day, and ensure that no more than 12 hours elapses between your doses. Patients should note that the exact dosage may vary for each patient, and it is important to note that you should not suddenly stop taking this medication, as this may cause you to experience more frequent seizures. Instead, you should consult your physician, as your dosage may need to be gradually decreased.

What are the side effects of Gabapin (Gabapentin)?
