What is Largactil (Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride) used for?

Largactil (Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride) is a type of anti-psychotic medication that is used to treat a variety of mental disorders, such as schizophrenia, manic depression, psychotic disorders and severe behavioral problems in children. This drug belongs to a class of drugs known as phenothiazines, which work by helping to restore the balance of certain natural chemicals in the brain. It can help to reduce hallucinations, feelings of nervousness, aggressive behavior and the desire to hurt yourself or other people, while also helping you to think more clearly. This drug is sometimes used to treat nausea and vomiting, as well as being used to treat prolonged hiccups, tetanus and anxiety before surgery.

How should I use Largactil (Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride)?

Take Largactil (Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride) exactly as prescribed by your physician. The exact dosage varies, depending on the condition being treated.
