What is Respidon (Risperidone) used for?

Respidon (Risperidone) is a type of antipsychotic medication that is used to treat schizophrenia, and other mental disorders such as bipolar disorder. It may sometimes be prescribed to children and teenagers to treat the irritability and mood changes caused by autism. This drug belongs to a class of medications known as atypical antipsychotics, which work by helping to restore the equilibrium of certain natural substances in the brain, such as neurotransmitters.

How should I use Respidon (Risperidone)?

Respidon (Risperidone) tablets should be taken orally. This drug may be taken with or without food. Patients may be directed to take this drug once or twice per day, however the exact dosage may vary.
