What is Resteclin (Tetracycline) used for?

Resteclin (Tetracycline) is a type of antibiotic, which is used to treat infections caused by bacteria, such as pneumonia, acne, and various other types of infection. It can also be used to treat Lyme disease. Antibiotics should not be used to treat viral infections.

How should I use Resteclin (Tetracycline)?

Resteclin (Tetracycline) capsules are usually taken 2 to 4 times per day, or as directed by your physician. You should take this medication on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating. You should not take this medication with food, specifically milk, cheese, ice cream and other dairy products. Do not stop taking this medication until the entire prescribed amount has been used.

What are the side effects of Resteclin (Tetracycline)?

When Resteclin (Tetracycline) is taken to treat bacterial infections, it may cause some side effects, such as:

  • Changes in appetite
  • Sores in the mouth
  • A black hairy tongue
  • Sore throat
  • Rectal discomfort
