What is Caberlin (Cabergoline) used for?

Caberlin (Cabergoline) is a dopamine receptor antagonist, which works by preventing the release of a certain hormone (prolactin) from the pituitary gland. It is given to women with high levels of prolactin, to treat symptoms such as unwanted breast milk and missed periods. Male patients with high levels of prolactin may be given this drug to treat a decrease in sexual ability or enlarged breasts.

How should I use Caberlin (Cabergoline)?

Patients should follow the instructions of their physician when taking Caberlin (Cabergoline) tablets. Your physician may tell you to take this drug twice per week. Follow all instructions provided by your physician, and never exceed the recommended dose.
