What is Cipflox (Ciprofloxacin HCL) used for?

Cipflox (Ciprofloxacin HCL) is used to prevent or treat infections that are caused by bacteria. It may also be given to people who might have been exposed to anthrax germs to help prevent anthrax. The active ingredient in this product belongs to a class of antibiotics known as fluoroquinolones, which kill the bacteria responsible for the infection.

How should I use Cipflox (Ciprofloxacin HCL)?

Cipflox (Ciprofloxacin HCL) tablets are normally taken twice per day, or as directed by your physician. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and the length of time for which treatment is required. You should not eat dairy products, such as milk or cheese, 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking this medication, as this may decrease the effectiveness of this medication.
