What is Nizoral (Ketoconazole) used for?

Nizoral (Ketoconazole) is used to treat a variety of conditions, such as fungal infections of the skin, nails and in the body, as well as protozoal infections, prostate cancer, Cushing's syndrome, and high levels of calcium in the blood caused by tuberculosis or sarcoidosis.

How should I use Nizoral (Ketoconazole)?

Nizoral (Ketoconazole) tablets should be taken by mouth, normally once per day. You should take this medication at the same time every day. Take this medication exactly as prescribed, and continue taking it for the entire period for which it was prescribed, unless told otherwise by your physician.

What are the side effects of Nizoral (Ketoconazole)?

Some side effects of Nizoral (Ketoconazole) include:
