What is Oflox (Ofloxacin) used for?

Oflox (Ofloxacin) is an antibiotic which is prescribed as a treatment for bacterial infections, such as pneumonia, gonorrhea, chlamydia and infections of the prostate, skin, urinary tract and many others. This medication should not be taken to treat viral infections such as colds or flu.

How should I use Oflox (Ofloxacin)?

Oflox (Ofloxacin) tablets should be taken by mouth, with a glass of water. You may take this medication with food or without food. These tablets are normally taken twice per day. The length of treatment required may vary, depending on the condition requiring treatment, and your medical condition. The treatment period may range from 3 days to 6 weeks. Your physician will advise you on how long treatment is required for. If you have been told to take it twice per day, you should take it at 12 hour intervals. It is important to continue taking it for the entire period of time for which it has been prescribed.
