What is 9 PM Eye Drops (Latanoprost) used for?

9 PM Eye Drops (Latanoprost) are used to treat high pressure inside the eye occurring as a result of eye diseases such as ocular hypertension and glaucoma. This medication works by helping to control the flow of fluid in the eye, thereby lowering eye pressure. This can help to prevent blindness.

How should I use 9 PM Eye Drops (Latanoprost)?

9 PM Eye Drops (Latanoprost) are administered directly to the eye. Patients should tilt their head back, and form a pouch with the lower eyelid by pulling it out. One drop may then be administered to the eye. In order to prevent the medication from dripping out, the patient may place one finger in the corner of the eye, next to the nose, and press gently. Always consult your physician before using this medication, and follow all instructions carefully.

What are the side effects of 9 PM Eye Drops (Latanoprost)?

Some side effects which may occur as a result of taking 9 PM Eye Drops (Latanoprost) include:

  • Headaches or a dizzy sensation
  • Nasal congestion, sneezing or a sore throat
  • Blurred vision
  • Dryness of the eyes or watery eyes
  • Stinging in the eyes after the drops have been applied

Patients should consult their physician immediately if any of these side effects persist or worsen, or if any other more serious side effects occur, such as redness or swelling of the eye, a strange discharge from the eye, changes in vision, an increased sensitivity to light or pain in the chest.

Please Note

Strictly follow all instructions provided to you by your physician or pharmacist while using 9 PM Eye Drops (Latanoprost). Optimum and safe dosage can differ based on the patient and the condition being treated.

As this medication may be unsafe for certain patients, it is essential you always inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as if you have any allergies, other illnesses, or ongoing health conditions, and if you are taking any other form of medication, supplements, or herbal products.
