What is Lynoral (Ethinylestradiol) used for?

Lynoral (Ethinylestradiol) may be prescribed to treat post menopausal symptoms occurring as a result of estrogen deficiency. It may also be prescribed to certain women to help prevent osteoporosis, especially in those who are at a high risk of fractures or for whom treatment with other products is not an option. Other conditions it is used to treat include gonadal dysgenesis, menstrual disorders, or prostate cancer.

How should I use Lynoral (Ethinylestradiol)?

Lynoral (Ethinylestradiol) tablets should be taken by mouth. However, as these tablets are used to treat a variety of conditions, the exact dosage required for each patient varies, depending on the condition being treated. Never take more than the prescribed amount. Treatment of menopausal symptoms may require you to take these tablets as part of a cycle (21 days taking them, with a 7 day break). However, you must follow the instructions provided to you by your physician.
