What is Finast (Finasteride) used for?

Finast (Finasteride) is used to treat men with male pattern hair loss to increase hair growth on the scalp and to prevent further hair loss. It acts as an inhibitor of steroid 5-reductase, which appears to be the principal androgen responsible for stimulation of hair growth.

How should I use Finast (Finasteride)?

Finast (Finasteride) should be taken as directed by your doctor. Tablets can be taken with or without food along with a full glass of water. Always swallow the medicine whole. Never crush, split, dissolve, or chew the tablets as this will alter the release of medicine. This can cause further health problems for the patient.

What are the side effects of Finast (Finasteride)?
