What is Prosmin (Finasteride) used for?

Prosmin (Finasteride) comes in the form of a tablet, which should be taken exactly as prescribed by your physician. The standard dose is one tablet per day. If you are treating an enlarged prostate, it may take up to 6 months before you notice an improvement in your condition. Do not discontinue treatment unless your physician tells you to. For male pattern hair loss, it may take 3 months to a year before the full benefits are noticed.
