What is Nicodoxy (Doxycycline HCL) used for?

Nicodoxy (Doxycycline HCL) is a tetracycline antibiotic, used to treat different types of bacterial infections, such as those affecting the urinary tract, chlamydia, gum disease, acne, and others. It may also be used to prevent malaria. However, antibiotics will not treat viral infections.

How should I use Nicodoxy (Doxycycline HCL)?

Nicodoxy (Doxycycline HCL) capsules are normally taken 1 to 2 times per day, with a full glass of water. The length of time for which treatment is required depends on the infection being treated. Your physician will tell you how long you need to take it for. Patients taking it to prevent malaria are normally told to start taking it 1 to 2 days before travelling, and to continue taking it while they are travelling, and for 4 weeks after they leave the malaria affected area. However, patients should not take it for longer than 4 months.
